Each project requires a quality assessment system that is effective in assuring that the quality of deliverables and the completed work should provide traceability of information. All projects are managed in accordance with the Atkins Quality Management System. This requires a Project Quality Plan which will include all project specific procedures.
We prepare initial Design Briefs which are reviewed by the client prior to its incorporation into the Project Quality Plan. The Brief is updated from time to time throughout the design development process by means of in-house design workshops and through design progress meetings with the client.
The Atkins Quality System, overseen by the Quality Manager, provides the framework for the control of design development and the delivery of the design within the programme and budget parameters.
Atkins also conducts audits of the Quality Capability of companies wishing to qualify for design services or construction/installation contracts, to ensure that their systems are suitable.
