The Address is a mixed-use, 63 storey tower comprising a 198 key, 5 star hotel plus 626 serviced apartments. The imposing 306m height and striking design produce a landmark project that stands at the opposite end of the lake to the world's tallest building, the Burj Dubai.
Atkins was responsible for the architectural and engineering design of this five star hotel and serviced apartment building located in the prestigious Business Bay area. The development comprises a business centre, health club and spa, a restaurant and parking bays for 900 cars.
The floor plate of the hotel is based on an organic evolution of a series of linked arcs which present imposing interconnected double and triple volume public spaces with full views of the lake and Burj Dubai tower; this concept is also extended to the guest room levels. Rising above the hotel is an aerofoil-shaped tower that accommodates 45 levels of deluxe serviced apartments.
The now complete hotel supports the needs of up to 4,000 people who work, live and play in the building, every day and includes facilites such as: a commissionary kitchen and extensive back of house facilities; central laundry which has the capacity to service not only the needs of the five-star hotel but also four other hotels in the surrounding area; all day dining restaurant; 1,100 sq m swimming pool with pool bar; ballroom and support facilities plus a club lounge.
Our Carbon Critical DesignTM ethos ensured features such an air condition condensation recovery process that captures enough water to service the irrigation needs of the whole building.
