Falcon City of Wonders

Falcon City of Wonders is to be a purpose built community in the shape of a falcon, the emblem of the UAE. It comprises a mix of themed, landscaped, living, working and leisure environments, featuring replica monuments of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Atkins was commissioned to revise an existing masterplan by incorporating changes in population and land use, and the relocation of landmark buildings of this major development. This development comprises a falcon-shaped community housing leisure, residential and commercial facilities, and replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Atkins has produced a comprehensive Masterplan for this development, the aims of which are to:
• Ensure the aesthetic appeal of the development
• Plan for economic infrastructure provisions
• Allow and plan for construction phasing.
Preparing the Masterplan involved:
• Reviewing the input data (existing and proposed)
• Investigating site constraints and opportunities
• Formulating development options and evaluating land use, transportation, infrastructure and the environment
• Investigating environmental impacts and mitigation.
