Dukhan Highway

Atkins was commissioned to provide the detailed design, preparation of tender documents, tender management, tender evaluation together with management, and construction supervision of the Dukhan highway and the bridges. This Highway forms a significant part of the current development of the primary road network in Qatar and will serve as a high quality route between Doha in the east and Dukhan in the west.
There will be 10 grade-separated interchanges, seven camel underpasses and an 87km, two-way collector road. The project includes utility diversions, highway works, structures, fencing, drainage, lighting, weigh stations, landscaping and infrastructure for a future national intelligent transportation system.
